I received a new camera for Christmas 2015 at about the same time as Jeff Carreira asked the students of his Breakthrough Intensive course to create articulation projects. We were reading philosophical, spiritual and artistic works for the course, all looking at freeing up our limited ideas of reality in order to be open to greater possibilities, a wider view, a more profound understanding of the evolution of ourselves, our culture, our relationship to all of life and of reality. Work in the Breakthrough Intensive with Jeff, in the Evolutionary Collective with Patricia Albere, and in Emerging Dialogue with Elizabeth Debold and Thomas Steineger were all pointing me into the realm of the intersubjective, the space between people that was neglected in previous centuries but now seemed palpable, alive and emergent. That this space also includes nonhumans is clear, but this collection of photographs concentrates on what is possible in our human relatedness through giving attention to what is between, within and around us. Many thanks and much love to Jeff for encouraging us to articulate this exploration.
